Our Story began in 1912 when Grandpa Herman and Grandma Adelaide emigrated from Nova Scotia and purchased the land we now farm.

In the 1980's before the organic boom, Spencer Fruit Organics pioneered many of the techniques that are contributing to the world wide success of organic agriculture today.  During those years we were well known in nearly every natural food store in the country with market shares in Japan, Europe and Canada as well. 

Now as we near our 100th anniversary, we've decided once again, it's time for a change.  Like a jazz pianist nearing the end of a long solo, we're going to "bring it on HOME".  We've been all over the board and now we want to focus on a few major keys; keeping our food a little closer to home and  feeding the neighbors.  I guess the folks back East will have to find their own farmer, eh?
